11.5 Billion TRY Was Allocated This Year For The Agricultural Irrigation Projects

According to the Investment Program for 2022, irrigation that received the largest share from the agriculture industry investments was followed by the 4 billion TRY allowance allocated to forestry. Amongst agriculture industry investments, the highest allowance 11,5 billion TRY was allocated to irrigation projects this year, which was followed by the 4 billion TRY allowance allocated to forestry.

Amongst agriculture industry investments, the highest allowance 11,5 billion TRY was allocated to irrigation projects this year, which was followed by the 4 billion TRY allowance allocated to forestry.  According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent on the basis of the Investment Program for 2022, an allowance of 18 billion 607 million 5 thousand TRY was allocated this year for the agriculture industry investments. This amount was around 12 billion TRY last year. Around 15 billion 510 million TRY of the allocated allowance will be used for the ongoing projects while 2 billion 845 million TRY of the allowance will be used for new projects and 251,6 million TRY will be used for the survey projects. Of the agriculture industry investments, irrigation received the highest share with 11,5 billion TRY. 190 of the 198 irrigation projects will be conducted by the Directorate General of State Hydraulic Works. Water storage, water transmission tunnel, irrigation, rehabilitation and flood projects The irrigation investments were followed by forestry with an allowance of 4 billion 44 million TRY. There are 21 projects in this field. 18 of these projects will be performed by the Directorate General of Forestry with an investment amount of 4 billion 37 million TRY. Projects like aircraft and helicopter hangars, communications system, fire prevention system, afforestation, rehabilitation of forests and sapling maintenance drew attention amidst the forestry investments.

Land consolidation projects will be continued.
An allowance of 2 billion 432 million TRY was allocated this year to plant production. While there were 55 projects in areas like land consolidation and the support provided to the programs, 23 of these projects will be assumed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The 23 projects will be completed with an allowance of around 1 billion TRY. An investment of 480,8 million TRY is scheduled for the 14 projects in the field of livestock. 9 projects will be conducted by the Ministry in this particular field. An investment of 132,8 million TRY will be performed in the field of aquaculture products. 5 of the 10 projects in this field will and carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry while the remaining 5 will be conducted by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
