717 Million Turkish Lira (TL) Investment In Agriculture Sector From Development Agencies

Development agencies will realise approximately 717 million TL of investments in irrigation, crop production and animal husbandry sectors in 2023.  Development agencies will invest around 717 million TL in irrigation, crop production and animal husbandry in the agriculture sector this year.


According to the compilation made by the AA correspondent from the 2023 Investment Programme, 280 projects will be implemented in the agricultural sector this year, including 212 in irrigation, 53 in crop production and 15 in animal husbandry. The total value of the investments will reach 29 billion 821 million 857 thousand TL in total, including 23 billion 748 million 775 thousand TL in irrigation, 5 billion 99 billion 301 million TL in crop production and 973 million 781 thousand TL in animal husbandry.

The amount of investments to be made for 23 projects in the agricultural sector through development agencies will reach 716 million 908 thousand TL.

The share of development agencies in irrigation investments was determined as 351 million 775 thousand TL. In this context, Eastern Anatolia Project (DAP) Regional Development Administration will invest 100 million TL in 2 projects, Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration will invest 110 million TL in 1 project, South Eastern Anatolia Project (GAP) will invest 71 million 775 thousand TL in 1 project and Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (DOKAP) will invest 70 million TL in 1 project.

DAP will invest 80 million TL in various regions within the scope of the "Small Scale Agricultural Irrigation Project" and 20 million TL in the "Animal Drinking Water Project".

DOKAP will spend the entire investment within the scope of "Small Scale Agricultural Irrigation Project" in 7 provinces within its area of responsibility.

While GAP will allocate its investments to Diyarbakır, Kilis, Siirt and Şırnak within the framework of "Small Scale Agricultural Irrigation Project", KOP will invest in 7 provinces within the scope of "Small Scale Agricultural Irrigation Project".

Investment in crop production

In crop production, development agencies are planned to invest 257 million 761 thousand TL in 14 projects.

DOKAP will invest 73 million 500 thousand TL in 3 projects, GAP 60 million 961 thousand TL in 6 projects, KOP 71 million 900 thousand TL in 3 projects and DAP 51 million 400 thousand TL in 2 projects.

DAP will invest 5.4 million TL for 14 provinces within the scope of agricultural training and publication project and 46 million TL for the development of crop production infrastructure.

DOKAP will invest 1.5 million TL in 11 provinces within the scope of the "Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Cultivation Project", 70 million TL for the "Improvement of Crop Production Infrastructure Project" and 2 million TL for strengthening agricultural organisations.

GAP will invest 4.8 million TL in Batman, Diyarbakır and Adıyaman within the scope of "Organic Agriculture Clustering Project", 5 million TL in Adıyaman and Şanlıurfa provinces for "Productivity in Agriculture and Agriculture Based Industry Project", 21.2 million TL for "Development of Agricultural Infrastructure", 15.1 million TL for "Precision Agriculture and Sustainable Practices Project", 8.3 million TL for "Agricultural Training and Extension Project" and 6.5 million TL for "Miscellaneous Expenses".

In KOP, 5.9 million TL will be allocated for "Agricultural Research Project" for 8 provinces, 16 million TL for "Agricultural Training and Extension Project" and 50 million TL for "Rural Disadvantaged Areas Development Project".

 

4 projects for livestock sector

In the livestock sector, development agencies will realise 4 projects worth 107 million 372 thousand TL.

In this context, DAP will invest 34 million 552 thousand TL, DOKAP 52 million 296 thousand TL, GAP 1 million 524 thousand TL and KOP 19 million TL.

DAP will spend the entire investment for the "Development of Livestock Infrastructure Project" in 15 provinces.

DOKAP will also invest in tools and devices, agricultural tools and machinery and animal markets to be established in 11 provinces within the scope of the "Development of Livestock Infrastructure Project".

GAP, on the other hand, will use the entire investment for survey, project and consultancy services for the development of livestock infrastructure in Adıyaman and Diyarbakır.

KOP will also invest in animal production development projects in 8 provinces under the responsibility of the region.
