In his written statement, Balta indicated that they aim to spread modern irrigation in agriculture, to provide the highest benefit from agricultural lands through consolidation works, and in this context, they work with all their strength to deliver healthy and potable water to the taps and to protect settlements and agricultural lands against flood risks.

Emphasizing that they make use of Muğla's water resources with great effort and devotion, Balta stated that the pipe installation works are nearing the end in the construction of the system that will provide modern irrigation in Yatağan Girme Plain.

Stating that 65 thousand meters of irrigation pipes will be laid within the scope of the project, Balta said:

"62 thousand meters of installation work has been completed. Physical realization of 65 percent was achieved in irrigation construction. It is planned to irrigate 21 thousand 510 decares of agricultural land in Girme Plain with a modern piped system. Thanks to the modern irrigation system, it is aimed to diversify the product pattern in the region, increase income by 6 thousand 300 Turkish liras per decare and contribute 135 million 513 thousand Turkish liras to the national economy annually."
