A protocol was signed for the infrastructure construction work of the first phase of the project, which was implemented for the use of geothermal resources in the Diyadin district of Ağrı, in agriculture.
The protocol "Diyadin Agriculture-Based Specialized Organized Industrial Zone Infrastructure Construction Work" signing ceremony was held in the Governor's Office meeting hall.
At the ceremony held under the chairmanship of Governor Osman Varol, the Secretary General of the Special Provincial Administration Erhan Tenekeci and the officials of the contractor company signed for the infrastructure work of 260 decares, which is the first stage of the project.
Governor Varol, speaking to reporters, said that in order to use the geothermal resources in Diyadin district in agriculture, greenhouses were built on 40 decares of land and production was carried.
Stating that they could not enlarge the greenhouse area due to the lack of infrastructure in the geothermal field and that they worked hard for this, Varol said:
"As a result of the work we carried out with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the infrastructure tender was held. Today, we signed our contracts with the contractor company as the organized industry management here. I hope we will start our work on the delivery of the workplace soon. We will also hold a nice foundation ceremony. This project is very important for our city, because We are talking about an area of 1.300 decares. There will be a total of 1.000 decares of greenhouse parcels within 1.300 decares."
Varol thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and those who contributed to the realization of the project and said:
"In the 1000-decare greenhouse, approximately 1200 people will be directly employed. We think that with the employment figures in the sub-sectors, a total of 2,500 people will generate income from here, and that this will bring very serious gains to the economy of our province. This project is a visionary project that will change the fate of Ağrı. It is beneficial to our city Ağrı”.
Kenan Engin, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Tekin Adıgüzel, Director of Diyadin Agriculture-Based Specialized Greenhouse Organized Industrial Zone, and contractor company officials attended the program.
