The Highest January-July Exports In History In Agriculture

Turkey's agricultural exports increased by 20.4 percent in 7 months of the year compared to the previous 2021 period, and took a 13 percent share of total exports - Grains, pulses, oilseeds products 6.3 billion dollars, fruit and vegetable products 1.3 billion dollars, 829.8 million dollars in dried fruits and products, 2.4 billion dollar in aquaculture and animal products, 4.7 billion dollars in furniture, paper and forestry products, the highest January-July exports of all time.





The agriculture group realized the highest January-July export in the history of the Republic with 18 billion 790 million dollars.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey's exports increased by 19.1% in the seven months of this year compared to the same period of 2021, reaching 144 billion 416 million dollars.

In the said period, the agricultural group realized the highest January-July export in the history of the Republic with 18 billion 790 million dollars.

While Turkey's agricultural exports increased by 20.4 percent in the seven months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, it received a 13.0 percent share from the total exports.

- 5 sectors affiliated to the agriculture group achieved record exports

In the January-July period, cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products are 6.3 billion dollars, fruit and vegetable products are 1.3 billion dollars, dried fruits and products are 829.8 million dollars, aquaculture and animal products are 2.4 billion dollars, furniture and paper and forest products with 4.7 billion dollars made the highest January-July exports of all time.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, in the first seven months of the year, cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products 31.4 percent, fruit and vegetable products 20.9 percent, dried fruits and products 9.8 percent, aquaculture and animal products 32.1 percent, furniture, paper and forestry products increased by 27.3 percent.

- Iraq maintained its leading market position

The highest demand for the sectors that broke records in exports in the agriculture group came from Iraq. Thus, Iraq maintained its leading market position in agricultural exports.

Cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products were exported to Iraq for 1.3 billion dollars, aquaculture and animal products for 455.1 million dollars, furniture, paper and forestry products for 553.2 million dollars.

Turkey exported fruit and vegetable products, 198.4 million dollars to the USA, and 108.5 million dollars of dried fruits and products to Germany.

Grains, pulses, oilseeds and products increased by 61.6 percent, aquaculture and animal products increased by 63.3 percent, and furniture, paper and forestry products increased by 8.4 percent in exports to Iraq.

While exports of fruit and vegetable products sector to the USA increased by 48 percent, exports of dried fruits and products to Germany decreased by 5.8 percent.
